LARGER THAN LIFE - MANDALA ARTIST

Supriya is a very fine and well known mandala artist. Her journey starts with ceramic artefacts and was stationed with adding minute details and the beauty of flowers to everything she creates. When she came across mandalas and their history, process and significance gave her immense peace, stability and inner joy which cannot be expressed in words.

Her artworks are mainly influenced by her love towards nature and spirituality. Her art is heavily and tremendously influenced by hindu and islamic architecture. Due to her vivid knowledge and exploring perspective, she decided to modify the traditional simple mandala to complex beautiful ornate mandalas depicting different cultures of different countries.

She works with inks, gouache, acrylics and texture mediums to give different breadth and depth to the artworks. Transforming these traditional artforms and providing a fusion, creating auspicious luxury paintings to bring an attractive style statement, accent artforms and enhancing the beauty of your place. They are designed in a way to give that wow dimension to both modern and contemporary spaces.

My Mission : It is to bring the wonderful heritage artform in a modern creative way and create luxury artforms.

These mandala art forms are intended to provide spiritual wellbeing, creativity and mindfulness to adults and youth all over the planet. We want to create beautifully designed motifs and patterns with architectural references from various hindu, islamic, turkish, moroccan architectures and fusion of different heritages. Transforming these traditional artforms and creating auspicious luxury paintings bring an attractive style statement, accent artforms and enhance the beauty of your space.

My Vision : I aim to create such art forms which provide style statement, new dimension & elevate your spaces providing them a contemprory yet modern perspective.

I believe that paintings are a universal way to connect, express, inspire humans from different strata. This is a great way to provide the modern era with auspicious, attractive, revolutionary, traditional artforms to beautify spaces.

THE ARTIST’S NOTE

Since childhood I have always loved art and my early work includes painting on objects making them attractive décor art pieces. From pottery to bottles and now "larger than life" paintings. A long held fascination with mandalas, their spiritual, meditative significance were a major spark to start painting. My artworks are influenced by major interests in architecture and healing spiritual symbols. Paintings are a bridge that transform my thoughts into visuals.

After travelling across Asia, Middle East Europe and visiting historical monumental sites and museums intrigued me to the patterns used in construction.
I started studying the various patterns used in hinduism, buddhism and the islamic history books. The patterns of Mandala within the concentric circles with intricate designs has developed my own style mix of Mandala and light sculpture art form.

I work with mainly inks, acrylics, textures to give my pieces more strength, statement and depth. The nature of paintings makes them suitable to any home, work or office environment and a companionship one will treasure feeling relaxed and clam.

“More recently my artworks reflect the textures and architectural inspirations. Most of the latest pieces incorporate mandalas portraying architectural and spiritual journeys, healing capability, leading in beautiful complex ornate compositions & stunning décor pieces. My work has been showcased in various exhibitions and found home globally.”
